Trancefusion grew out of sessions in Topanga Canyon, California in 1995 through 1997. A loose group of friends who had mostly all played with each other in the past banded together to focus on an instrumental album being produced by the priceless Aziz Paige.

Core band members included Aziz, Jamie Scher, Tony Giraldo, John Baltic, Richard Hardy, and Monte Lee.
